OH hell no. Can you imagine A Cheney/Rove White House? <shudder and gasp> Leave Bush there. He's as bright as a box of rocks. Rove and Cheney, as much as I can't stand them, aren't stupid.

While impeachment would be grand, I think it is the next best thing for Bush to stay in office, and let the democrats in the house and senate do everything in their power to make him look even worse then he already does... if that is even possible.

That is probably the best course of action for the Democrats at this point. The general public does not want to see an impeachment process, so that would not fare well for the Democrats.

If we impeech him wehave Cheney as President, then God would need to save us all. If we impeech him and Cheney Nancy Pelosi would become President. But if the democrats do this we will never have a chance to capture any conservative votes, which democrats get better at every day. We would be considered the big bad mean dems and it just wouldnt work. We have always reached across party lines and we will continue to.

Washington, D.C. (AHN) - The outgoing Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney (D-GA) has taken one last shot at an administration she has always held in contempt.

Rep. McKinney has announced a bill in the House to begin the process of impeaching President George Bush.

The legislation is purely symbolic, however, as incoming Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) says she won't entertain any motion to bring sanctions against the President, for real of wasting two years of Democratic congressional control on petty issues.

McKinney, an Atlanta Democrat has had her share of negative news, making headlines when she struck a Capitol Hill police officer who asked her to present ID.

With only hours left in the Congressional session, McKinney introduced legislation claiming the Commander in Chief violated his oath of office. Oddly, that's what many of the Georgia voters said of McKinney when they voted to replace her with DeKalb County Commissioner Hank Johnson.

The worst of the Bush Presidency is over, an impeachment now would seem petty and useless, and establish a precedent that the majority party can simply list some charges and impeach a President it dislikes. With the support kicked out from under him, Bush knows what the American public thinks of him lately. Why impeach now?

Bill Clinton got impeached witch I think was a sad afire and what he did was stupid and distasteful and I am not condoning what he did but he would have been an amazing president if he had stayed away from Monica lewinsky but what bush has done not only to the people who live in the U.S.A but all over the world is created more racism and hatred and every one is afraid of each other and every one is scared that they well get hurt and that people always have to look over their shoulders to make sure no one is going to kill them and he has lied and created wars and killed inocent people and got him self re alected bye getting the votes automatically recounted so that he could win all for the sake of getting oil witch doesnt even belong to him he is a dictator and he should be Impeached and then put in jail for life.

What happened to Clinton was more than ridiculous, agreed, but I doubt that a quid pro quo here would be in the best interest of governance. The Democrats have made it clear that they want to leave some sort of legacy behind so they can have achievements to brag about in 2008. Trying to impeach Bush would not be beneficial in that regard.

Oh, it can get worse. I don't know exactly how, but it can.

I remember myself thinking something similar when he got elected in 2000...

"Well, how bad could it be?"

I'm gonna tell myself he's less dangerous without Congress behind him, and with so few people still approving of his actions.

This was posted on the 16th... Since then news came out that bush wants to "surge" the military presence in Iraq despite the backing of the people and the generals on the ground in Iraq.

Do you still want to tell yourself this?

I think the reason why the Dems dont want to do the impeachment procedding is because then the Reps can say "See this is all they did in two years, all they focused on was impeaching the president and didnt do a thing about anything else"

i think there should be impeachment

the democrats have shown us that they are not to be trusted

like two mafia families the democrats and republicans might shoot each other under the card game once in a while but they will protect each other if their game is threatened

That sounds way too close to a conspiracy theory. I request evidence/proof.
