But, how does that describe him putting his nose into the Presidents backside?
All of those were and are supported by the pres.
I would say that was more or less pandering than anything. I may be wrong, but I don't remember him critcizing the torture bill.
Yea there was that and one of our generals had the balls to say to McCain that he didn't know what torture was.
IIRC he had been making one of the biggest cases for it and then voted in favor. I also don't recall him ever saying the war was going fine or else it depends on what time he possibly said that about the war.
"There are places in Baghdad that Americans can walk through."
I've seen him say stick with the war, but rectify mistakes that have been made thus far. As far as the Tax cuts and the Surge I have no idea what he said about those two issues. I won't vote for McCain, anyways.
Hell I wouldn't vote for a flip-flopper either.

With all due repsect, everything you have just shown me hasn't supported your view. That's actually untrue about the Pres supporting all of those views.

The Pres did not support the torture bill at least initially as he believed it may effect how we get information out of prisoners.

If a General said that about McCain, then what does that have to do with what you initially said about McCain's stance on the toruture bill?

So you take him saying that about Baghdad(which is actally true) and blow it up into something he didn't in fact say? That's not a substitute for him saying "the war is going fine"...

I agree I will not vote for McCain, but not on the grounds that he is a "flip-flopper"...

It might affect how we get information out of prisoners? *thats* the reason he didn't want to cause people enormous amounts of pain? Because it might affect the information?

Since I was born? Raised and disillusioned in the cult.

That doesn't answer the question.

I've got to go with either McCain or Giuliani. It's too early in the cycle to decide which will get the nod. (And this isn't who I want to win the nomination, it's who I think will.)
