And piss off the iraqis even more, generating more sympathy for the insurgency?

Man, that's a great idea!

heres the thing. i dont totally agree with his policies regaurding all of the constitutional violations. I do agree with the war. The war would be better if the dems could lighten up. send more troops to iraq. thats what i say. search every house and building. look for arms and go after the insurgents

Do you really think more troops will solve the problem? It's a stop gap measure, the aim should be to get out of there as soon as possible while leaving in place a strong central government.

As to the subject of the thread, well, try typing 'miserable failure' into google and hitting the 'I'm feeling lucky' button.

I bet he did.

And?

If George Bush welcomed the russian army to search my house (or something of that sort), i know i'd be pissed off. People in iraq feel much the same way.

If we sent twice as many like everyone in the military told him was necessary in 2003, it might have been enough to stabilize. This jump he proposed tonight from 135,000 troops to 155,000 troops isn't gonna stop any insurgency, and it's contradictory to his stated goal of forcing the Iraqis to be self-reliant and transfer responsibility to their government. And that's what Republicans are all about, right? personal responsibility and self-reliance?

They aren't really conservatives, they are more like 15 year olds who attempt to mimic what they hear from their parents. True conservatisim is nothing like what is practiced in america.

I suggest that we send every possible American Citizen to Iraq. Think about it, millions upon millions of people going after these 'terrorist' with anything they can find. I think that would go very well. Wink
