Okay Joshua, you seem to be actually answering posts. So why, exactly, did we invade Iraq and not another country?

Ok....here goes.

1. Saddam's violations of numerous United Nations resolutions following the first Persian Gulf War.

2. Saddam shooting at U.S. and British planes patrolling the Northern and Southern No-Fly Zones.

3. Saddam gave $25,000 to families of suicide bombers.

4. Saddam's possession of illegal chemical and biological weapons. We know he had them because he used them during the Iraq/Iran war and on the Kurds.

5. Saddam was actively pursuing nuclear technology. Noone knew for sure how close he was.

6. Kenneth Pollack who served as Iraq expert and intelligence analyst in the Clinton administration, wrote that during his 1999-2001 tour on the National Security Council, "...the intelligence community convinced me and the rest of the Clinton Administration that Saddam had reconstituted his WMD programs following the withdrawal of the UN inspectors, in 1998, and was only a matter of years away from having a nuclear weapon..."

That is simply untrue, there was one reason, one reason only, we thought he had WMD's, America tried to send their own inspectors over there instead of the UN's, but they were denied, for obvious reason, therefore they thought their information, even though it went against all the reports by the UN, must be true.

Okay Joshua, you seem to be actually answering posts. So why, exactly, did we invade Iraq and not another country? And why does the fact that other people have war too mean that it's fine that we do? If nothing else, it's an enormous waste of money and causes the government to be bloated and huge to deal with a large scale operation like occupying and reconstructing a foreign country.

Okay look we are in the middle of war. Yeah that's right a war on terrorism. Afganistan and Iraq were just the begining. People can look at the war in Iraq onto itself and say "Well why did we invade Iraq and not some other country." Well they can almost get away with it but what they don't see is the bigger picture. Most terrorist activities are stationed out of the middle east countries like Iran, Iraq, and Syria have been promoting and harboring terrorism for years. Just because we haven't attacked any other country yet doesn't mean we are not going to. Places like Iraq were just the begining eventually we will continue the war on terror and it's going to move into these other countries. So this is not just a campaign against one country it's a war against every country that involves themselves with terrorist scum.
