Well, if you insist here are a group of pics dating back to the 50's:

i am not doubting that there were lights in the sky, @ the same time i am not doubting that there were helicopters & planes w/lights on them either. I believe that the harrier jet was a prototype back then, it had the capability to hover and then shoot foreward.

just a thought

But, you can't deny that there are reports by cops:
http://www.ufoevidence.org/cases/case277.htm
and military people:
http://www.ufos-aliens.co.uk/cosmicrend.html
of "silent" propulsion systems that operate "inside" of our atmosphere (Don't send me a pic of an ion drive, Exton)

A Harrier is the most god-awful noisy piece of machinery in aviation history, besides maybe a B-52. And a helicopter, well everone knows that they are noisy, especially the military kind. The telltale "chop-chop-chop-chop-chop, you can't disguise and gives it away, every time. Just in order to change vectors at the speeds that they are clocked at by radar(I will no longer post any pics, or video, I will save you guys the torture. Unless something really juicy comes us, like Cheney getting the hot alien 3-way gang probing that he deserves on film) It is not like there is a shortage of footage on the net's. So feel free to google, if you are interested in there being a slight remote chance that they are not of this Earth.

I mean think about it. Is that possibility so far fetched. Does the fish in the fishtank (Who does not even have the thinking or reasoning capacity that we do) disregard us (Humans) outside of his world as being just a natural part of it's environment? No, he just thinks he can get some fish flakes from the "aliens"
Idea

Well, like the other guy said: i don't deny the existence of mysterious flying lights. I just doubt that they're aliens.

Who was the one that linked to the UFO site that described, albeit poorly and ficticiously, an ion drive?

That was you.
I just identified it.

Yeah, a stealthy, quieter helicopter is like, impossible.

Or maybe it isn't.

You're right - there's a lot of footage of mysterious flying objects. Most of it is fake, but some of it isn't.

But what is there NOT footage of?
Things that can be identified as alien spacecraft.

Yes, as a matter of fact, it is.

How familiar are you with the concepts involved with interstellar travel?

As for flying saucers...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Avrocar

Those are all real, human-designed aircraft that can fly.

I don't claim that that proves anything, but you should keep it in mind before jumping to conclusions about any flying saucers that you see.

I have that in mind too, trust me. That flying disk, with the turbine in the middle was kind of a joke, though.

String theory takes that concept and turns it on it's head!

So, in other words, "not very familiar".

Time can be folded in a fanfold manner. The possibility for parallel universes. What's not to understand? Game, Set, And Match.....

Granted, this is taking string theory to the extreme but then again, we're talking about an extreme subject.

Do you really understand what any of those things mean? Do you know what they have to do with interstellar travel?

I normally don't like jumping to conclusions, but i'm willing to bet that you don't actually know anything about "string theory"; that you only know about the alleged implications as told to you primarily by other people who don't understand it.

Not to mention that string "theory" is actually a hypothesis, an unsupported one. It's only one of a number of possible explanations, and it's not the most elegent one at that.

So, therefore, in my book, it exists beyond a shadow of a doubt. And it is powered by cold fusion. <smiling> Idea

I'm finding it hard to tell whether you seriously believe these things, or if it's just amusing for you.

Some I do, some I don't. I was just responding to your interstellar travel statement. And offering an alternative theory.
