Stupid conservative realist ideas foreign relations. Did you learn nothing for cold war? Hell Reagan didn't go to war he used words to end a crisis.

In times of peace you prepare for war. Do you seriously belive that if we gave up our bombs and military that the rest of the world would follow suit and we would all sit around the fire holding hands and singing no that wouldn't happen it's insane. Our enemies would simply know they could attack us with no punishments (i.e. say you go to a rough bar and your a peaceful guy that doesn't mean no ones going to pick a fight with you and if you tell the guy you won't fight back no matter what isn't goin to make him change his mind). Chamberlin secured Germany's safety and that worked out well for everyone. Reagan was able to secure peace because he had force to back it up and they were afraid of him (If you walk into the bar standing 6 foot 4 250 lb's ripped with muscles massive arms maybe a few large friends no one's going to mess with you and if they do good luck to them a good analogy of "walk softly and carry a big stick" if I do say so myself). Here's another qoute for you "Paul Ebenezer thought it wrong to fight but raging bill (who killed him) thought it right." |

Worked for Sweden.
Our enemies would simply know they could attack us with no punishments (i.e. say you go to a rough bar and your a peaceful guy that doesn't mean no ones going to pick a fight with you and if you tell the guy you won't fight back no matter what isn't goin to make him change his mind).
That's Why you need the ICJ and the ICC.
Chamberlain secured Germany's safety and that worked out well for everyone.
Wilt?

Yea but Reagan was a feeble minded octogenarian
with a lot of nukes.it was only because of Bush41's knowledge of the world that we still exist today.
Here's another qoute for you "Paul Yea Ebenezer thought it wrong to fight but raging bill (who killed him) thought it right."[
Same quote you used before dummy./quote] |

I went into the British Army believing that if you want peace you must prepare for war. I believe now that if you prepare for war, you get war. — Major-General Frederick B. Maurice

And therein lies the problem. Real life - in the big picture - doesn't work that way.
What happens when you get in a bar fight? You could end up dead, but more likely you'll end up bruised, and maybe in jail. Everyone else in the world (and the bar, mostly) is just fine.
With war, that's not the case.

The reason they want to destroy you is because you are strong, the reason they justify their actions is because you are strong, the reason they hate you is because of what you do with that strength.

i do not think anyone wants iran to have nukes, but in order for iran to not feel the need to have them, their safety needs to be guaranteed by the u.s. and israel.
still according to estimates iran is a decade away from being able to possess nuclear weapons. |
Estimates is the key word there. Isn't it funny how when it comes to national debt Bush is blamed for passing the problem on to the next generation, when there is a growing Nuclear threat in Iran and all the liberals in the world want to pass it on to the next generation.
